There are a lot of ways to get healthy, and if weight loss is your primary goal, you need to approach it with a plan. Wishing to lose weight will not work. You need to decide what you will eat, how much you will eat, and when you will exercise.
Put together a diet plan that is healthy, balanced, and compatible with your lifestyle. If you don’t have a lot of time to cook during the week, prepare and freeze meals ahead of time. There are a lot of diet plans out there, and you should pick the one that sounds most appealing to you. Perhaps you want to limit carbs and increase protein. Or, you might prefer a low fat diet. Whatever eating plan you choose, set yourself up for success by planning menus and being responsible with portion sizes.
Next, you need to think about fitness. Losing weight is a lot easier when you’re burning calories through physical activity. Work this into your schedule at least three or four times per week. You can go to the gym, take a fitness class, or start a new sport. The key is to burn calories and replace some of the fat on your body with lean muscle mass.
