--We have had several requests for more focused weight training from our male clients.  In response, we will be starting an 8 week class with two evenings of Weight Lifting focused on increased strength and muscle mass.  Classes are Mon/Wed for one hour starting on September 15th.  The class will be limited in size so Sign-up Now!

--Peak Passes are now available for 10 classes during this camp.  This will allow you to attend two camps a week.  The Peak Pass is a great option to if your schedule is a bit crazy but you want to keep a bit of a routine going.

Who's Who:  How Well Do You Know Your Fellow Campers?

Amber LaDuke is member of our rowdy 7:00 a.m. camp.  The 7:00 a.m. class has the reputation of ultra competitive and a bit of a party crowd.  Within a few days of her first camp it was clear Amber was a perfect match!  She pushes herself to challenge the guys on any given day while keeping her fun attitude and smile.  Amber is always up for trying something new and working towards the next level.  If you want to know how to have fun in life while staying fit, Amber is a great example.  Read on to find out what else interests our Kansas girl!

Tailgating without Tipping the Scale

Fall is here which means it's time for football season and all those fun tailgate parties.  No need to skip the fun just to avoid all the extra fat and calories.  Follow a few of these tips and enjoy the fun without the buldge.

1) Use a plate -- Rather than grazing without an awareness of how much you are eating, fill your plate with what you really want and then stop

2) Go for the grill -- choose meat options that are grilled instead of the fried buffalo wings and chicken fingers they will be significantly lower in fat.  What about Hawaiian kabobs - chicken & pineapple.
3) Incorporate fruits & veggies -- If making dips use yogurt instead of mayonnaise as the base.  Try grilled portobello mushrooms - a little gourmet and healthy.
4) Bake are best-- when it comes to chips go for baked.  Virtually all types now offer a baked option so if you can't avoid the chips choose baked.

5) Healthy dips -- hummus, black bean spread, or red pepper dip.  Compliment with low fat pita chips or veggies.
